Liver Function in a Toxic World

LISTEN to Dr. Tom Roselle, DC discuss the basics of a healthy liver. Your liver does all kinds of work that are critical to your health. It helps break down food, clean your blood, make proteins, and store energy. But, the liver’s main job is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, before passing it to the rest of the body.

The liver also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs. As it does so, the liver secretes bile that ends up back in the intestines. Dr. Roselle, also covers metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, and overall gut health, including dysfunction of the gut mucosal barrier also known as “leaky gut.”
